Help! Since I'm moving out of town in late February 2005, my roommate has just signed a lease on her own place starting January 1st, and I need someone to fill her shoes for two months!
The apartment: 2nd story of a brick row house, recently remodeled, in the quickly up-and-coming area of Shaw/Howard. Lots of sunlight; large living room; beautiful space. Wood parquet floors (berber carpet in bedrooms); cheap gated off-street parking; central AC/heat; IN-HOUSE WASHER/DRYER & DISHWASHER! (SO cool.) High-speed internet. 1 block from metro; 1 block from library; 3 blocks from Giant; hop, skip and a jump to Whole Foods & the fun U Street corridor.
Water included; we split electric (around $50/mo. total).
The room: comes partially furnished with mattress, desk, and a huge closet, double-wide with super-high shelf space. South-facing window.
Me: female, an extroverted vegan software developer and violist with a penchant for orange. Loves cooking; making messes; cleaning them up; writing with semicolons.
You: female, not a republican, open to soy products colonizing the refrigerator (though not necessarily vegetarian/vegan), clean, fun, in your 20's or 30's.
OPTION TO TAKE OVER LEASE from me when I move out! Totally chill, personable, friendly landlord; fun young building-mates. See my other posting for details.
